Due Witch Hunt Process

To Der Spiegel

Your article "The Case of John Demjanjuk..." ends with the following astonishing statement.

"But if you ask him what might really have happened in his father's past, he doesn't have an answer."

In the United States, at least, the burden of proof is always on the accuser, not on the person accused. Why should Demjanjuk's son have an explanation for anything?

Throughout your entire article Der Spiegel never once outlined even the bare allegations of the so-called "proof" against this man.

Why not? What is "the case" against him? Or is it just another witch hunt of a man who was already acquitted by an Israeli court?

You might begin by asking attorney Jonathan Drimmer how a person manages to be an "accessory" to 29,000 murders.. an accusation that smells like something is rotten in Venice.
