Re:--Alleged Nazi guard listens to German Warrant (A P)
This case is a travesty and the press coverage a heap of misrepresentations and lies. The Israeli Supreme Court itself threw out the case and refused to allow retrial.
Why? Because, as the Sixth District Court of Appeal later found the Dept. of Justice Office of Special Investigations had "comitted a FRAUD ON THE COURT".
Why? Because the Smoking Memo (Appendix 6) proves the OSI knew Demjanjuk was NOT the guard at Treblinka;they knew his ID put him at Sobibor as to which they had no case. So they tried on false charges using notoriously unreliable and contradicted eye-witnesss testimony which the Israel Supreme Court itself said was next to worthless.
Double Jeopardy means nothing to the DOJ and now they are going against Demjanjuk on the basis of a confession given toSoviet interrogators (real reliable huh?) that says that Demjanjuk was a guard at Sobibor but that the actual exterminating was operated by Germans and Jewish (no!) Kapos.
