When it comes to health care, Fauxbama all but stabbed reform in the back. What else do you call inviting insurance and pharma "stakeholders" to the table and remaining mum while Baucus excluded single payer advocates from hearings.

And so the "holo-cult" grows... this time with reliquiaries (the "original prints") and ever more idiotic statements such as the assertion that Nazi genocide gets "more incomprehensible" with time.

Does this mean that Nazi genocide was somewhat more comprehensible in April 1945 --horrible but "understandable"? Was it horrible, horrible and only a tad understandble in 1965? And is it now so horrible horrible horrible and not understandable that all we can do is tremble and puke? This sort of thing has all the hallmarks of a taboo.

No - I do not think we need to keep the "Incomprehensible Holocaust" ever before us in our minds ...daily... like some sort of monstrance or ritual. That is not how we learn anything. We learn from history by keeping our own conduct in mind. By focusing on what we are doing, what we are ignoring, what we are too lazy to protest against. Nazi genocide was a terrible crime; but there's an important difference between commemoration and fetish.

Re:--Dems pin Health Reform hopes on Obama's Speech, reporting on Democrats' last-ditch effort to salvage health care reform, looking to President Obama's joint-session speech Wednesday to avert a political and legislative train wreck.

Once again the Wussiecrats have proved their worthlessness as a party. Why are they in disarray? Because they are in disarray.

The primary reason for this is that they lack a real political ideology. Instead of true progressive/environmental social democracy they substitute so-called "liberal" personal validation issues. The junk food of real politics.

The second reason is that they are cowards who run like pathetic mice every time the Party of Sleaze, Slither and Slime starts flinging filth around. Of course, not having any ideology to stand up for makes it difficult to stand up for anything. But basically they are just craven office holders who will lie as low aspossible in order to keep their "privileged" position. (Boxer and Kerry are prime examples of this spineless ilk)

The third reason is that half of all Wussiecrats are just republicans in drag -- 2 faced Gorgons like Lieberman & Feinstein ( "we can't afford health care for you") and yes the smooth talking Obama

SINGLE PAYER HR 676 (see also S 703) NOW. Poll after poll shows that a large MAJORITY Americans want universal single payer health CARE (not "coverage").

It is an obscenity and a sin to put the financial "health" of insurance companies over the physical health of people. Anyone who does is a political whore and human scum.

WE NEED A HEALTH *CARE* INITIATIVE NOT "INSURANCE REFORM"

Disease WILL happen to everyone. You don't insure against what will happen. That is an absurdity which is precisely why insurance companies only want to insure healthy people and then dump them on the government at age 65

As in EVERY other advanced country, health care should be a right and EVERY aspect of health care delivery needs to coordinated so as to provide that right.

DUMP THE FUCKING "HEALTH" INSURANCE COMPANIES - NOW

The insurance and pharmaceutical industries are causing people to incur avoidable illnesses and disease. They are terrorizing everyone with both medical and financial anxiety. They are bankrupting individuals and driving them onto streets when they are ill. They are bankrupting American companies and, the country as a whole. Anyone who puts insurance company profits over the welfare of individuals and other businesses is a Judas

NO BULLSHIT "REGIONAL COOPERATIVES".

An effective, comprehensive, competitive "Public Option" is simply the slow road to Single Payer. But the fiscal welfare of the United States and the wellbeing of it citizens do not have time for slow roads.

Instead of putting country first, scumbags in Congress are conjuring up some piece of crap "compromise" that will promote a sham public "cooperative" option(s) that can easily be picked off killed by the insurance companies. Do you think we're too stupid to figure that out?

Your ideas and recommendations for addressing these challenges are most welcome .... Health reform is one of the President's most important priorities.... Our goal is to provide affordable accessible health care for all Americans, reduce costs, and improve quality.
